James – Faith in a Real World

Sep - Dec 2019

Our culture increasingly encourages us to view our faith as a very personal and private thing. A focus on salvation by faith alone can lead us to conclude that what is going on in our own mind and heart has primacy over anything visible on the outside or things that we actually do. Yet, James is clear that biblical faith is a faith that ‘connects’; it cannot be separated from the way we live out our lives, from the lives of the people that surround us, nor indeed from the culture in which we live. Real faith is faith in the real world.
