Grace Church is lead by a team of Elders who are supported by site based leadership teams.
Our Eldership and staff team oversee all the activities of the church and all of the Sunday meetings. Whereas our site leadership teams are focused more on leading the individual Sunday sites and these may therefore be the people you meet first when you visit. Our Eldership team is:
David is our lead Elder and leads the leadership team of Grace Church. He has been an Elder of Grace Church since 2010 having moved from Winchester during that year. In total, David has been in church leadership for well over a decade and left a career in engineering to focus full time on church leadership in 2006.
He is married to Ali and they have two grown up children. Ali works part time for Chichester District Council, is the Counselling Manager for Pregnancy Options Centre, and co-leads our Freedom in Christ group.
Thomas is married to Kathryn and they have four young daughters. Thomas joined our Eldership team in 2014 and is also part of our Midhurst site team. Thomas and Kathryn oversee our welcome / visitors teams.
Kathryn founded our Little Bears Toddler Group in Bognor Regis, is one of our Trustees and also one of our Deputy Safeguarding co-ordinators.
Simpson is married to Mel and they have four daughters and a son. Simpson joined our Eldership team in 2017 and oversees worship in all our sites. Simpson works full time running his own decorating and cleaning company. Mel co-leads our Little Bears Toddler Group in Bognor Regis.
Joe is married to Liz and they have two young sons. Joe is our youngest Elder and joined the team in 2017. Joe is also leads our Havant site team.
Jonny is married to Kim, who co-leads our Little Bears Toddler Group in Bognor Regis, and they have 2 young children. Jonny joined the team in 2018 and leads our Bognor Regis site team. He works full- time as a teacher in a school near Chichester.
Steve joined the eldership team in June 2018. He and his wife Ann have been involved in pastoral ministry over many years. Steve studied electronic engineering and travelled widely with the MoD before leaving in 1991 to work for a church in London. Since then he has had various leadership roles and the privilege of serving the wider Newfrontiers team which works closely with Commission.
Steve and Ann have four grown up children and eleven grandchildren. Their youngest son, Joel, has complex needs and still lives at home. He loves getting to know new people.
Our Eldership team is supported by two staff members who are based in our office during the week.
Simon is our Operations Manager and manages everything to do with our administration, finance and practical running as a church and charity.
Simon is married to Nicola and they have two children. Simon is a site leader at Bognor Regis and is a keen photographer and (occasional) film maker.
Nettie is our Admin Assistant and will generally be the first person you will see or hear if you phone or visit the office.
Nettie is married to Tobi and they are both musicians and worship leaders.
